Vertical Bamboo is constructed from strips of Bamboo that have been laid on edge which gives the total thickness. This particular Vertical Bamboo is treated by pressure steaming, which darkens it by carbonization, therefore making it harder and less susceptible to humidity.

Strand Woven Bamboo is the hardest Bamboo available and according to the Janka test it is one of the hardest flooring options available. We supply this lacquered as the structure of the Bamboo will not allow oil or anything else to penetrate the grain or cell structure.
